THE NIGHT THEY ALL PANICKED

A few years ago on a Friday night; my phone rang. I had no idea what the call was going to be about and that it was a call for my faith.

On the other end of the line was someone that I know very well and love. It was a distress call. Someone that we knew very well was very sick. So sick according to the doctors; that their only chance of survival would occur if they were rushed into emergency surgery. The doctors said that the patient would probably not survive the surgery and if they (the patient) did; they would be a vegetable.

The person on the other end of the phone (a true believer) was in tears. I didn't know what to say. I didn't know the answer. In fact, I truthfully don't think they wanted an answer from me. I tried to speak calmly; but my words were clear. I'd take the matter before the Lord and call them back in fifteen minutes. I had never done such a thing before; and rarely ever did it after that, but this night I planned to meet with God to hear what He would say.

So, I went in my room and began to pray and just laid it all out, not realizing that God already knew plus He had heard the conversation. I hadn't had that kind of teaching or instruction yet; and so God being all knowing had mercy on my faith protocol.

The answer came swiftly. Even I was strengthened as I delivered the message to them.
Oh what a bold message it was. I was told to ask them all "Where is your faith?" and I was told to tell them the patient who was greatly distressed at the time had more faith than all of the people standing around in a panic. I was also told to tell them they would see a miracle that night. I said good-bye and went to bed.

The next day...I was told that the miracle did occur and the person greatly recovered. The doctors changed their original "drama" and all was well.

Personally, I don't even know if the people recalled the situation or their big problem which was little to God. However, I do.

You know, if I wanted to see a really important person, I'd need an appointment on the "waiting list" or to know somebody. It might take weeks for an appointment that could even get rescheduled. With God; it's not like that. The good news is that if you have a relationship with Him; I mean a real one. A Sunday visit won't do it. But if you start to read and meditate on His Word and begin to pray and seek His face...you'll not have to panic in an emergency; and you can get the answer that you need.

I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU WERE DRAWN HERE TODAY TO READ THIS; I JUST KNOW THERE'S A REASON.

The moment I called out, you stepped in;
you made my life large with strength.
